Baylor Football: The Rebuilding's Just Begun (La La Land Parody)
Another season of Baylor football is in the books. While it certainly wasn't the season I was hoping for record-wise, this season was always about so much more than that. I am excited about Coach Matt Rhule and what is to come. With that in mind, here's a song parody about Baylor football to the the tune of "Another Day of Sun" from La La Land. But first, 2 quick things to note:
- In no way is this parody meant to take away from the seriousness and consequences of the events that transpired at Baylor.
- I know I made a Facebook post of this a while back. However, consider this a new and improved, full version of the song. Enjoy!

Temple recalls that day
He left them at the Philly Airport
East of Chesapeake Bay
They lost a great coach
And they all knew that this was true
Still, he did what what he had to do
Move to B-U
Fall Saturday nights
Fans got out of their seats
Right as they turned out all the lights
Baylor football needed a new face of the program
They called a coach on the East Coast
To lead them from a jam
Some fans didn't know his name
Nonetheless, here he came
Experts said that he's insane
They'll have to see
'Cause maybe out in Wacotown
He'll win one day, the spotlight's on
They'll see his face and think of how they used to doubt him
He's Matt Rhule
He wants to make things right
While chasing the recruits that shine
And if they pick U-T
He'll get back to the grind
The final clocks winds down
And the rebuilding's just begun
I hear E-S-P-N
That comments from talking heads
That just never fade away
The mistakes and problems
Made by leaders from before
They say Baylor should play ball no more
So it's time to make changes
And even when recruits say no
Or when the wins are running low
A new leaf and a clean program
Are what's needed
And one day as Baylor rebuilds
A small town 'croot will come along
That'll be the thing to make him choose
And he'll sign
Behind Matt Rhule
He's trying to make things right
While chasing the recruits that shine
And if they pick U-T
He'll get back to the grind
The final clocks winds down
And the rebuilding's just begun
And if they pick U-T
He'll get back to the grind
The rebuilding's just begun (x10)
